Duties of IT Support Specialist:
The IT Specialist provides IT services to the House of Commons staff, House officers, Members of Parliament, and library of Parliament. The incumbent ensures the following:
- Resolve and troubleshoot technical problems including, software, hardware, and Tabs.
- Respond to customers requests within service agreement:
- Analyze and troubleshoot problems when any incidents happen and provide solutions:
- Research, analyze and coordinate with various teams and services providers to resolve IT problems:
The House of Commons technical working consists of MS-office 2010,2019 and 365, Windows 7 and 10, and other online/remote management tools like SMS and SCCM
- Good communications and analytical skills
- Good teamwork skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Working with UNIX/LINUX operating system
What is the House of Commons Canada?
The House of Commons of Canada is the lower assembly room/chamber of parliament. It is represented by the prime minister, his cabinet, speaker, opposition leader, and some independent members. The house of commons is a publicly elected body, and its elected members are known as a member of parliament.
Currently, there are 338 members in the parliament of Canada. These members are elected through votes in their electoral districts.
All the parliament members hold offices and serve their electoral district for five years. According to their population, the representation MP’s in the house of commons is given randomly to the provinces.
